The Developer is owned by various members of the Richard M. DeVos family of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The DeVos family’s principal business is Alticor Inc., the parent company of Amway Corporation, which was founded by Mr. DeVos and Jay Van Andel in 1959. In its most recent fiscal year, Alticor reported worldwide sales of $6.2 billion. Alticor owns the 682-room, four-diamond Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan, which includes the 1913 Room restaurant, Michigan’s first and only AAA Five-Diamond restaurant. Alticor also owns the new J.W. Marriott in Grand Rapids, currently under construction, which will be the only J.W. Marriott in the Midwest when it opens in the fall of 2007. For many years, Amway owned Peter Island in the British Virgin Islands, including the exclusive Peter Island Resort. Principals of the Developer are also experienced in development projects in The Bahamas, having teamed with Princess Cruise Lines to build the Princess Cays facility, the cruise line’s exclusive port of call located approximately 15 miles from Cape Eleuthera and Powell Pointe. Operational since 1992, approximately 250,000 Princess cruise passengers visit Princess Cays each year to take advantage of the beach, watersports, retail areas, and outdoor bars and eating areas.
