Exclusive five-day shark diving and education experience founded by Dr. Erich Ritter and led by Master PADI Instructor Chad Sinden
Cape Eleuthera Resort and Marina is now accepting reservations for its 2026 and 2027 SharkSchool® sessions, an immersive five-day shark diving and education program designed for certified scuba divers seeking a deeper understanding of shark behavior, marine conservation, and ocean ecosystems.
Founded by internationally recognized shark behavior expert Dr. Erich Ritter, SharkSchool® is a unique educational experience that combines classroom learning with real-world shark encounters in the pristine waters surrounding Eleuthera, Bahamas.
The program is led by Chad Sinden, Master PADI Instructor and Chief SharkSchool® Instructor at Cape Eleuthera Resort and Marina, who guides participants through a comprehensive curriculum focused on shark behavior, species identification, marine ecology, conservation, and responsible shark interactions.
“SharkSchool® is about replacing fear with understanding,” said Chad Sinden. “Participants leave with a greater appreciation for sharks, their role in healthy marine ecosystems, and the importance of conservation efforts throughout The Bahamas and beyond.”
Unlike traditional shark diving excursions, SharkSchool® is structured as an educational program that teaches divers how sharks communicate, behave, and interact within their environment. Through guided dives, classroom instruction, and post-dive discussions, participants gain insights into shark behavior that are rarely available through conventional dive experiences.
Each SharkSchool® session is limited to just six participants, creating an intimate learning environment with personalized instruction and meaningful interaction opportunities.
The SharkSchool® package includes a five-day educational experience and a six-night stay in a private one-bedroom cottage at Cape Eleuthera Resort & Marina, with a complimentary seventh night included.
